چکیده
This is the first report of a transcriptome assembly newly discovered hydrothermal vent mussel, Gigantidas vrijenhoeki (Bivalvia: Mytilidae), on Central Indian Ridge. was identified from material collected at Onnuri Vent Field (OVF) Ridge in 2018, and reported as new species, distinct another dominant Bathymodiolus marisindicus, 2020. We sequenced G. using Illumina HiSeq X System. De novo analysis coding regions predicted 25,405 genes, 84.76% which annotated by public databases. The will be valuable resource studying ecological biological characteristics this other deep-sea mussels. These data should also support investigation relationship between environmental conditions vents unique distribution OVF

Discovery of a black smoker vent field and vent fauna at the Arctic Mid-Ocean Ridge
The Arctic Mid-Ocean Ridge (AMOR) represents one of the most slow-spreading ridge systems on Earth. Previous attempts to locate hydrothermal vent fields and unravel the nature of venting, as well as the provenance of vent fauna at this northern and insular termination of the global ridge system, have been unsuccessful. Here, we report the first discovery of a black smoker vent field at the AMOR...

A culture-independent molecular phylogenetic survey was carried out for a bacterial and archaeal community of a mineralized crust coating a sulphide spire, which was collected from the Edmond vent field (23 ° S, 69 ° E, 3300 m depth) on the Central Indian Ridge. Small-subunit rRNA genes (16S rDNA) were amplified from environmental DNA by PCR utilizing Bacteria-specific, and Archaea-specific 16S...

متن کاملEvidence for methylotrophic symbionts in a hydrothermal vent mussel (bivalvia: mytilidae) from the mid-atlantic ridge.
Symbioses between chemolithoautotrophic bacteria and the major macrofaunal species found at hydrothermal vents have been reported for numerous sites in the Pacific Ocean. We present microscopical and enzymatic evidence that methylotrophic bacteria occur as intracellular symbionts in a new species of mytilid mussel discovered at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge hydrothermal vents. Two distinct ultrastruct...
متن کاملTo vent or not to vent?
The complete seating of full coronal restorations during cementation is hindered by the inability of cement to flow from the internal surface of the crown, and possible binding of the crown on the tooth. Perforation venting is an effective technique to allow full seating but requires repair of the perforation. Provision of space between the crown and the tooth for cement flow is also an effecti...
